 | Joseph J Levinson Giving to the Hungry We exist on this earth to sacrifice for others. If there is no sacrifice for others, our life is not well lived. The other day a woman stopped by to tell me that her family of 8 kids had not eaten in days. I immediately took some porridge and went to their wooden hut. The children looked malnourished and I could see they were starving. It was quite a sight. |
I went to the store immediately and bought them some rice and vegetables, using all the money I had. I brought the food back to the family so they could eat.
This is called sacrifice and it made all the difference. Now the family could eat and I had done my service to my fellow man.
We need to stop closing our hearts to others. What you have you need to give away. The funny thing is when you have fewer things, you will tend to give more (like me).
